Bill Maher criticizes liberals for excluding their family over the holidays because of politics: ‘F— off, you f—s’

Liberal comedian Bill Maher criticized his party for cutting off family members during the holidays for political reasons.

On Sunday’s edition of his “Club Random” podcast, Maher and fellow comedian Jay Leno discussed late entertainment icon Sammy Davis Jr. and how he famously hugged President Richard Nixon.

Leno noted that he was viewed as a “traitor” among Hollywood liberals for embracing the Republican president.

“It’s so funny that you mention that because like today, we live in a time where you’re not allowed to have friends from the other side or cross political lines,” Maher told Leno. “And I forgot that there was an example of that back then, a man who crossed political boundaries. ‘Oh, the worst thing you could ever do – be friends with a Republican. Ahh! Call 911!’”

“That’s what I fucking hate about the left,” Maher continued. “And they’re not going to get me on the side of Trump, which they sometimes think they are, but just the idea of, you know, ‘banning your family for Thanksgiving if they voted for the wrong guy.'” Damn you F—s.’ And Sammy – when he embraced Nixon, he was very ostracized by the left. That was a first harbinger of that.”

Maher expressed a similar opinion last month on his HBO show “Real Time” during a monologue following President-elect Donald Trump’s victory.

He targeted Yale University’s chief psychiatrist, Dr. Amanda Calhoun, who raised eyebrows when she told MSNBC’s Joy Reid about it It was okay to cut off relatives who voted for Trump and won’t be with them for the holidays.

“Oh, how pure. It’s like you don’t let certain people sit on the bus with you,” Maher responded while showing a photo of civil rights icon Rosa Parks. “Remember how a psychologist advises people to isolate themselves during the holidays. And don’t forget about drinking too much and gaining weight.”

“You know who I really don’t want to go to Thanksgiving dinner with? With that overly educated, therefore extremely stupid academic from the ivory tower, but I would do it because if we ever want this nation to heal, we have to force ourselves to do it.” “To find out why someone feels the way they do , and to make the decisions he makes without condemning him as a monster. And he has to do the same for you,” Maher continued.
