Yesterday I headed south through rural roads east of Morgan Hill through San Martin to Gilroy. I am lying down with electric assist. The wind was light so I kept the average below 20 mph, a fun pace. It covered 27 miles in over 90 minutes. I enjoy seeing our green hills from the recent rains.
We are lucky that our plants are not too dry here in the north. Our friends to the south were not so lucky, it was drier down there, and they had strong Santa Ana winds bringing warm dry air that made the fire worse. I don’t know anyone who has lost their home personally, but we think of those who have. Firefighters from above came down to help, just like the SoCal firefighters helped us in the past. We are all together.
