• Google Voice is currently only available in the US. Google Voice for Google Workspace users are available in select countries. Contact your administrator for access.
• Calls made using Google Voice for Android can be placed through a Google Voice access number. All calls based on the access number use standard minutes from your cell phone plan and may incur a cost (for example when traveling internationally).

compatibility
Aegis supports HOTP and TOTP algorithms. These two algorithms are industry-standard and widely supported, making Aegis compatible with thousands of services. Any web service that supports Google Authenticator will also work with Aegis Authenticator.

Encryption and biometric unlocking
All your one-time passwords are stored in a vault. If you choose to set a password (highly recommended), the vault will be encrypted using strong cryptography. If someone with malicious intent gets hold of the vault file, it will be impossible for them to get the contents without knowing the password. Entering your password every time you need access to a one-time password can be cumbersome. Fortunately, you can also enable biometric unlock if your device has a biometrics sensor (ie fingerprint or face unlock).

Over time, you will probably accumulate tens of entries in your vault. Aegis Authenticator has several organization options to make it easier to find the one you need at a particular moment. Set a custom icon for an entry to make it easier to find. Search by account name or service name. Have multiple one-time passwords? Add them to custom groups for easy access. Personal, Work and Social each get their own group.

Backups
To ensure you never lose access to your online accounts, Aegis Authenticator can automatically back up the vault to a location of your choosing. If your cloud provider supports Android’s Storage Access Framework (such as Nextcloud), it can even create automatic cloud backups. Creating manual vault exports is also supported.

Make the switch
To ease the switch, Aegis Authenticator can import entries from many other authenticators, including: Authenticator Plus, Authy, andOTP, FreeOTP, FreeOTP+, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Steam, TOTP Authenticator and WinAuth (root access is required for apps without export option).
